I Police, dopo 23 anni, ritornano insieme.
Il quotidiano inglese Daily Mirror ha riportato la notizia, proveniente dalla casa discografica del gruppo, la A&M, secondo la quale nel 2007 i 3 artisti, componenti la storica band, si esibiranno di nuovo insieme per una serie di concerti. Le date dovrebbero essere rese note in questo mese
La Band, guidata da Sting, che comprende anche il chitarrista Andy Summers e il batterista Stewart Copeland aveva chiuso le esibizioni e l'attività dopo il Tour del 1984.
La Band era stata fondata nel 1977 su impulso del batterista Stewart Copeland che aveva chiamato in un primo tempo Sting, il cui vero nome è Gordon Matthew Sumner, ed in un secondo Summers.
Sting si era subito distinto per le sue capacità vocali e compositive (quasi tutte le canzoni della Band sono state scritte da lui solo) ed è stato quello ad avere più successo dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo, affermandosi come rockstar di livello mondiale. Io sono sempre stato un fan dei Police e di Sting. Spero di avere l'occasione di partecipare a questa loro reunion. Ah...se passassero per l'Italia.
