Ieri sera, subito dopo essersi esibita a Castel Volturno (CE) in un concerto contro la camorra ed il razzismo, Miriam Makeba, famosissima cantante sudafricana, è stata colta da improvviso malore ed è deceduta subito dopo l'arrivo in ospedale.
L'interprete di canzoni famosissime come Pata Pata, che da tempo soffriva di problemi fisici, è deceduta per una crisi cardiaca.
Nonostante i problemi di salute la star africana, simbolo della lotta contro l'Apartheid, non ha voluto mancare a questo concerto nel luogo dove 2 mesi fa vi fu il massacro di sei giovani ghanesi.
Il concerto era anche per esprimere solidarietà allo scrittore e giornalista Roberto Saviano, da tempo nel mirino della camorra per i suoi scritti.
Anche in quest'ultima occasione Miriam Makeba ha voluto mostrare la sua sensibilità, solidarietà e vicinanza a coloro che soffrono e sono in difficoltà.
Proprio oggi il Comune di Firenze ha deliberato di conferire a Roberto Saviano la cittadinanza onoraria per i suoi meriti nella lotta contro il crimine organizzato.
